Climate-Smart Dairy

This report describes the key processes adopted towards formulating a Climate-Smart Dairy (CSD) Model for Sri Lanka’s dairy operations led by the Department of Animal Production and Health (DAPH). This initiative is facilitated by the Market-Oriented Dairy (MOD) Project, a dairy development project in Sri Lanka funded by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Food for Progress program and implemented by the International Executive Service Corps (IESC). A research team from the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) and an international climate-smart dairy specialist were tasked by the MOD project to study and recommend the approaches to establish the CSD model for Sri Lanka.
